A doula is a non-medical but essential part of a birth team

I knew I wanted the word -ESSENTIAL- as part of my business name for a couple reasons… ESSENTIAL oils are a must, in my opinion, as we go through physical, emotional, spiritual & mental hardships. They can give us comfort, peace & strength when we need it most! I also love that one of the definitions of -ESSENTIAL- means extremely important! I want every pregnant mama to feel EXTREMELY important, heard, empowered, supported & loved before, during & after they bring their sweet babe earth side. And of course, the word -YOUR- because it is YOUR birth, YOUR body & YOUR baby! 

My doula fee includes prenatal appointments with the expecting mom/parents to talk about what is needed/wanted during labor, delivery, practicing comfort measures, clearing negative emotions. For one of those visits, I can attend a midwife/doctors appointment with you. It’s a great way to have everyone that will be at the birth to meet each other.

The doula fee also includes support by phone calls and/or texts throughout your pregnancy. On the day of birth, I will help provide multiple comfort measures while you labor at home, a birth suite or at the hospital. As a doula, I can assist with births that are medicated, unmedicated, planned or unplanned c-sections. Between 4-6 weeks after delivery, we will meet together to have a postpartum visit to check in with the new parents on an emotional level. If they need any referrals, I can share information & suggestions.

I have 5 years breastfeeding experience with my own babies and training through my doula certification so I can assist the mama if needed.
